About  RSO

 

The Regionalization Students Organization (RSO) is a duly recognized organization of UPCM, anchored in the values of social justice and service to the underserved, solidarity among its members, leadership in the community, and love for country towards empowerment of the regions. 



       RSO is an organization composed of medical students coming from the 16 regions across the Philippine archipelago. It has its roots in the Regionalization Program of the UP College of Medicine in which accepted applicants would return to their region of origin in order to practice. The organization has underwent significant change in the past decade and opening its membership to all students of the college. Now it is one of the most dynamic and fun-filled organizations in the College of Medicine spreadig its commitment to serve the nation through its various activities. The organization's motto reflects how its members want to live out their medical lives: For the Nation, Through the Regions!

 

VISION: A medical student organization rooted in the values of service, social justice, solidarity, leadership and love of country, committed towards the empowerment of the regions in the upliftment of the health status of the Philippines.

 

MISSION: Anchored in the values of service, social justice, solidarity, and love of country, the organization commits to provide a venue for growth of its members to become competent and compassionate doctors and leaders, nurture the desire of its members and influence the UPCM community to serve the Philippine regions.
